1. P19674 - Christmas is a time when all ages take part in the services and programs of the various churches. Typical of the joyous observances of the Christ Child's coming was the carol service Sunday evening at St Matthew's Anglican Church as these young people read the Christmas story, told the story of the carols sung by the choir, served as altar boys and singing a solo. Participants were Lori Woods, Kenny Newby, soloist, and Michael Buirs. In the front row is Doug Hoon, Patsy Hoon and Jim Larson, second row, and Gerald Redekop and Stacy Tessaro, back row.

2. P21614 - Junior Choir members Chris McNally, Shelly Esau, Kenny Newby, Kelly-Ann Johnson, Drew McNally and Robin Johnson watch their parents, members of the Senior Choir, practice. Senior choir members are: F Johnson, J Esau, Mrs C Newby and Mrs H McNally. The Choir Director, Mrs Mold, spent most of her life in London, England and has sung in church and nurses’ choirs. She trained orphan children for concert work to raise money for the orphanage and ran a choir of 60 children there. She trained and worked as a nurse, lecturer and nursing school principal. In 1954 she came to Canada and was the director of nursing at the MSA General Hospital. In 1955 she directed a junior choir at Aldergrove where she lived. The matching choral gowns were provided through funds raised by family, friends and the proceeds from a slide show on Italy and England, given by Mrs Mold.
