5. P19407 - Approval stickers were not easy to obtain at the Kinsmen sponsored vehicle testing station Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 6. P19553 - Young designers of the Kinsmen sponsored safety signs on the approaches to Abbotsford were honoured at the Kinsmen dinner meeting Wednesday. Prizes and safety plaques were presented to the winners in the school poster contest, Richard Nitsch, Leila Thoreson and Rick Zuest, by Corporal B Braden of the Abbotsford RCMP. They are shown with Kinsmen President, Jack Pope. There were 200 entries received from pupils of all of the elementary schools in School District 34, in the form of posters and each showed the author's idea of what a traffic safety poster should portray. They were judged by a panel of Kinsmen and the three chosen as the best were faithfully copied to a traffic sign size by a poster artist. No attempt was made to change the basic form of the picture. They were erected by Kinsmen on South Fraser Way near C Street, opposite Avenue Farm Machinery, and near the Christian School on the Abbotsford-Mission Highway.

7. P49637 - Abbotsford Kinsmen show their support of the oral polio clinics by appearing as a group to take thier dose of the Sabin vaccine. Sugar cubes used in the clinics were donated by the Kinsmen. Seated are Colin Hick, Marlin Loeppky and Len Adamson.
