2. P18689 - Just returned are Scouts of First Abbotsford, George Thompson, and Robert Plowright, with Cubs Bryce Needham and Eric Janzen. Abbotsford Air Services donated the planes and pilots for the pack troop. Afterwards, the troop, under Scoutmaster Al Johnson, roasted wieners for the group.

3. P20105 - Rick Brown, Dennis Grey and George Thompson are members of First Abbotsford A troop who received their Queen Scout parchment from Hon G R Pearkes, Lieutenant Governor for British Columbia, in a ceremony at Government House. They were among the 224 boys in British Columbia to receive the honour in 1966.

4. P21109 - Ambassadors of the MSA area to seven communities in BC were these Grade 11 students of the Abbotsford Senior Secondary School. Seated, left to right: Linda Dickson, travelled to Chase, Shirley Reeve to Castelgar and Lorraine (last name obscured) to Victoria, Back row, left to right: Tom Conroy visited Revelstoke, Rick Conroy went to Prince George, George Thompson and Lyle Storey to Powell River. The program was sponsored by the British Columbia Centennial Youth Travel Company and included 600 students in the province. Each visitor is asked to speak in classrooms and to interested groups in the area they are visiting, telling of their home community, its programs, the district history and its cultural, recreational and economic life. While there, the youth also met with other ambassadors from the other communities. On their return, they will share their experiences with their classmates.

The surprise party was held January fifth in honor of their leaders Scoutmaster Kim Hudson, Assistant Scoutmaster Ray Griffiths and Assistant Scoutmaster Bill Redley.
