Seen with Mr and Mrs Ken Sugarman after the Teen's Valentine's banquet Saturday night are Dave Humpki, Bob Regehr and hostess and host, Donna Regehr and Dave Campbell. The banquet, hosted by the Mennonite Educational Institute. 350 people attended and Peter Ewert was the Master of Ceremonies. Musical entertainment included the Crusaders Quartet, pianist Alden Willms, and whistling artist George Hogg. Ken Sugarman of the BC Lions Football squad gave a talk on how and why he chose football as a career. Don Lawrie, a guest speaker, also introduced Gordie Tanzlegy, who used to play for the Seattle Totems hockey club. The event was the second banquet of its kind, with the organization hoping for it to become an annual event. |
