Description |
One of 20 photos taken at the time of the closure of the Huntingdon School due to declining enrollment. The first school was a 20' by 34' building at Sumas Way and C Street. A second building for the senior grades was built up the hill from the first in 1910. In 1912 a larger school with indoor plumbing was constructed at Riverside Road and 4th Avenue. The school burnt down in October 1928 and was replaced in 1929. In 1954 a 5,000 square foot addition was built. Closure ocurred in 1980 after which it was used for various private school functions. Shows interior of a classroom with artifacts on display. |
