The Abbotsford Rotary Boys Under 11 Years team, after winning the Sumas Recreation Commission Soccer trophy. Team members are front row, left to right: Ricky Parsons, Brad Ross, Robert Templeton, Dale Larson, Ken Garret and Gary Harris. Standing, left to right: Terry Smith, Les Szabo, Brad Lister, Wade Parsons, Glen Harder, Timmy Short, Terry Short and Daryl Goddard. Coaches were Roy Garrett and Les Szabo. They defeated Sumas with a shutout and scored six goals on March 4th. Both teams were at the top of the league all season but this game decided league and trophy winners. George Fish presented the trophy after the game as the Sumas Recreation Commission representative. |
