Young adults and teenagers whirl around the floor during a roller-skate get-together sponsored by Christian group "Youth on Fire Ministries." The 'skate' was held at J.J.'s Crystal Palace in Clearbrook. Organizer Warren Mudry explained Youth on Fire was for kids of all denominations, who "want to come together to praise our Lord Jesus Christ." Get-togethers often included Christian music, fellowship, counselling, and such door prizes as Bibles and records. The group's counselling was "motivated in the salvation of Jesus Christ." Youth on Fire particularly wanted to return young people to "their church upbringing." Upcoming plans of Youth on Fire Ministries included a Christian concert in May, Bible study and worship sessions, Christian fun nights and fund raising. Image not published. |
