Swearing-in ceremony for District of Abbotsford aldermen under Mayor George Ferguson. On left is Abbotsford clerk, John Hocking, administering the oath of office on January 3rd. New aldermen taking the oath are, left to right: Vic Tessaro, Michael Collins and Vic Wiebe. Tessaro was appointed to the following committees: Finance and Administration, Development and Planning, Dog and Pest Control, Dyking and Drainage, Parks and Cemetery, Public Works, Traffic and Parking, MSA Manor Society, an alternate on the MSA Hospital Advisory Board, and the Fraser Valley Health Unit. Collins was appointed to the following committees: Alternate to the Finance and Administration and Development and Planning, Dog and Pest Control, Fire, Police and Street Lighting, Alternate for Parks and Cemetery and Public works, Sanitation and Sewer, Alternate for MSA Manor Society, Senior Citizens and Old Age Pensioners, and Alternate for Fair Board and Fraser Valley Health Unit. Wiebe was appointed to the following committees: Finance and Administration, Development and Planning, Alternate for Dog and Pest Control, Dyking and Drainage, Fire, Police and Street Lighting, Parks and Cemetery, Public Works, Sanitation and Sewer, Water Systems, Alternate for MSA Museum Society, Senior Citizens and Old Age Pensioners and Fair Board. |
