"On the stage in Clearbrook, lead vocalist and guitarist Bill Henderson of Chilliwack is pulling the group together again with some new faces. The band is on a "Club and Pub Tour" and going places where it's "hot and sweaty and happening," he says." Chilliwack performed at the Ag-Rec Building (32470 Haida Drive) amidst cheers and screams for an audience of about 560 during a Abbotsford-Matsqui Men's Hockey Association rock-dance. Beginnign in 1969, the group toured all over and engaged with other artists such as Janis Joplin, Crean, Joni Mitchell, and The Doors. They decided to tour around Canada after 12 albums and a new one being released in the fall of 1985. Henderson said, "I do it because I enjoy it. When you're doing something you like why stop." |
