Kirk Bryde and David Bawtinheimer tied for Midget Boys aggregate award trophy winner in the Royal Canadian Legion sponsored Junior Olympic Training Program meet. Kirk Bryde, a Abbotsford Junior Secondary School student, won first in long jump (16 ft 9 in), high jump (5 ft, 0.5 in), and pole vault (10 ft 6 in). David Bawtinheimer, also a Abbotsford Junior Secondary School student, won first in the midget boys category for the 220 yards (26.5 sec), 440 yards (2 min 22.3 sec), and 380 yard (60.6 sec). |
