The Abbotsford team members winning first, second or third prizes in their division, compiled a 151 point total and thus won the zone finals of the Canadian Legion Junior Olympians Training Program (JOTP) zone meet in Abbotsford. Sharon Bushman, Bantam Girls: third, in 220 yards, 31.3 seconds. Rick Wiens, Midget boys division: first in pole vault, 8 feet 11.5 inches. Jack Rempel, placed in the Midget Boys division: first in the triple jump, 37 feet 10 inches. Debbie Bryde, Bantam Girls division: first in shot put, 25 feet 5 inches and set a new record. Janet Powel, Bantam Girls: first in 80 metre hurdles, 16.9 seconds. Maureen Huston, Bantam girls: second in 100 yards, 12.7 seconds, first in 220 yards, 30 seconds and sets a new record. Lorrie Barker, Bantam Girls: second in long jump, 14 feet inches, first in 100 yards, 12.7 seconds. Reg Bonn, Peewee Boys division: third in the 100 yard dash, 16 seconds. Linda Goldstone, Midget Girls division: second in 80 metre hurdles, 14.8 seconds, second in 100 yards, 12.7 seconds, first in 200 yards, 30.2 seconds. Connie Bryde, Juvenile Girls division: second in long jump, 15 feet 5 inches, first in high jump, 4 feet 9 inches and set a new record. Wendy Taylor, Midget Girls division: second in long jump, 15 feet 9.5 inches, first in 80 metre hurdles, 13.8 seconds, first in 100 yards, 12.2 seconds.
