Sousaphone presented to the Abbotsford Concert Band Association by the Abbotsford Lions. Left to right: President of the Abbotsford Lions Club, Trevor Charles, Rick Conway, holding the sousaphone, Trumpet player Carol Alsbury, and Abbotsford Concert Band Association head, Jack Read. The band appeared at many of the major public events in the Lower Mainland and travelled to the Expo ’67. The Abbotsford Lions have provided a large portion of financial support for the Abbotsford Concert Band Association, which included two junior bands and 55 regular players. |
