Description |
Fraser Valley Junior Girls’ Basketball Championship trophy was won by the Abbotsford Junior Secondary girls. The tournament was played at Como Lake March 18-19 and included teams from Como Lake, North Delta, Delta, Hope, Aldergrove, Langley, Abbotsford and Mary Jane Shannon in North Surrey. The final game was played on March 22 in Abbotsford against Aldergrove, with Abbotsford squeaking through with a 14 to 13 victory. Members of the Abbotsford team were, front, left to right: Linda Dickson, Joanne Harms, Captain Barbara Hamm, and Coach Mr Buller.
