Dave Kandal Elementary School in Abbotsford was named in honour of Dave Kandal, who served as the last mayor of the District of Matsqui before it merged with Abbotsford. The school's naming recognizes Kandal's contributions to the Abbotsford and Matsqui communities. He donated a gift of $20,000 to start a foundation at the school. |
