"Kinsmen Bob Reichardt and John Chace rounded up Sam Griffiths of the Sumas Public Works to give them a hand welding the 'A' frames for three swings to be placed in the Sheffield Kinsmen Park adjacent to the Philip Sheffield School. Kinsmen, Kinnettes and their children made a family picnic of the work bee Sunday afternoon that nearly completed the seeding of the two acre park. Kinsmen have pledged $2,500 over two years for the development of this joint Sumas council and Abbotsford Kinsmen project." |
