Description |
White cotton christening gown "a" with slip "b". Dress has long sleeves, two button closure at back of neck & neck drawstring. Front alternates vertical floral eyelet inserts (3) with triple vertical rows of tucking (2). Gathered under arms, along back of bodice and at cuffs. Alternating rows of floral eyelet and tucking at hem. With white cotton slip "b". Slip is sleeveless, gathered at bodice abd has two-btton closure at top back. 84 cm long, 74 cm wide. |

Used by Ivy and/or Bill Lee. Both were born in Abbotsford, Bill on December 12, 1914 and Ivy on May 14, 1917. Their parents, Albert & Louise Lee arrived in Abbotsford in 1909 and operated Lee's Bakery. Donated in memory of Ivy (Lee) Van Loon, who passed away on March 25, 2000. |
