Provenance |
John "Jack" Lukas attended dental college in Minnesota between 1930 and 1933. Following graduation he returned to the Fraser Valley with his wife, Mabel and daughter, Ecenith, and opened his first practice in the family's tiny home in Aggasiz. In 1935 the family moved to Abbotsford. They rented a house and Jack practiced out of an office on the south side of Essendene, mid-block between Pauline and Montrose. In 1938 the family bought property at 2517 Montvue and had a combined home and office built. Dr. Lukas practiced dentistry from this office until his death in 1993. The entire collection came from his office. |
