1. P19401 - Junior Boys soccer team of the Clearbrook Junior Secondary School was victorious over Hope last week to win the Fraser Valley Championship and were runners up for the Fraser Valley title. 2. P20071 - Serious-looking trumpet players in the Abbotsford Junior Concert Band at the Scout Fun Fair Saturday are Neil Tucker, Charlie Fortin and Rick Conway.

3. P20072 - Abbotsford Junior Concert Band performed at the Scout Fun Fair on June 6th. In the middle row, closest to the camera are trumpet players Neil Tucker, Charlie Fortin and Rick Conway. They also canvassed the business area for donations toward the Abbotsford Band Festival. The Festival Finance Committee plans to follow up the canvass with an auxiliary appeal. Band master is Peter Rooker. They also gave two Sunday evening concerts on June 5th and June 19th. The free concerts started at 8pm.

4. P21697 - Sousaphone presented to the Abbotsford Concert Band Association by the Abbotsford Lions. Left to right: President of the Abbotsford Lions Club, Trevor Charles, Rick Conway, holding the sousaphone, Trumpet player Carol Alsbury, and Abbotsford Concert Band Association head, Jack Read. The band appeared at many of the major public events in the Lower Mainland and travelled to the Expo ’67. The Abbotsford Lions have provided a large portion of financial support for the Abbotsford Concert Band Association, which included two junior bands and 55 regular players.
