6. P20065 - Fraser Valley Junior Girls’ Basketball Championship trophy was won by the Abbotsford Junior Secondary girls. The tournament was played at Como Lake March 18-19 and included teams from Como Lake, North Delta, Delta, Hope, Aldergrove, Langley, Abbotsford and Mary Jane Shannon in North Surrey. The final game was played on March 22 in Abbotsford against Aldergrove, with Abbotsford squeaking through with a 14 to 13 victory. 11. P21661 - Abbotsford Senior Secondary School Girls Basketball team, the Cross Mainland League Champion. In 1966 the Panthorettes won 18 games and lost four. They won the League Championship, the Cross Mainland League Championship, placed second in the Fraser Valley and placed seventh in the Provincial tournament. They again won the Cross Mainland League Championship this year. The Fraser Valley division tournament took place at the Abbotsford Junior and Abbotsford Senior gymnasiums on February 22, 24 and 25.
